There were some similar novelty records released in the United Kingdom in the 1960s. Their twist was that they were recordings of a talking budgerigar, and it was claimed other budgies would be more willing to learn from it from a person.

&#039;Teach Your Parrot to Talk&#039; CDs are released to this, but afaik they&#039;re little better than useless in encouraging parrots to mimic human sounds.</description>
