Sound Clip: Downtown Complete Construction by Aleksei Stevens

The artist writes, “this is a simple field recording made with a hydrophone of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, NY. This recording is one of many I made in the process of composing a piece entitled Standing Water, for contrabass and tape.  Standing Water is in 6 movements, each in a different location along the Gowanus.  The sound heard here is named after the company parking lot where the recording was made.”
