Alarm set for 3:50 AM, must have this Ebay vinyl! But, wait the bid is going up! Who else knows?
It was worth setting my alarm on a school night to win this baby. Nature is a symphony and I have never successfully recorded under water sounds myself. Notable cuts, “Snapping Shrimp” and “Toad Fish” (both in the sound clip above).

hi Margaret, great site! I run the underwaterrecording group. Some of my own humble recordings are here: [http://www.michaelpeters.de/underwater.htm]
If you want to use any of them, please do. Best, -Michael
wow – that sounds like a great record. and am glad you were successful with your bid! i also haven’t got a hydrophone, so far, i’ve use some underwater recordings from the british library. they have issued one or two cds of them, but they also have an audio archive. it’s great fun to mess around with those recordings, e.g. record them on a four-track tape and then play them backwards! but most of the time, i try to recreate underwater sounds with various instruments and voice.
you can really imagine many things just by the hearing, its amazing
